About Susanne McDonald

Susanne-McDonald

Susanne McDonald joined Bee Young Communications and Marketing as a consultant last summer, primarily working as a presentation coach and blogger.  Although Susanne is primarily an actor and creator, she is committed to helping others through the arts with a business lens. As an entrepreneur and presentation coach, she is particularly interested in teaching voice, speech, and breathing techniques to people outside of the theatre industry as to better their vocal health and public speaking abilities. In the summer of 2020, Susanne participated in Sojourn Theatre’s Teaching Artistry Summer Institute where she learned more about facilitation, leadership, and used her background in theatre in more traditional, professional settings.

As an actor, Susanne is focused on devising theatre and film, with a love for both classical and contemporary works. As a theatre artist, she aims to cultivate community through the power of bringing people together through the arts and is dedicated to diverse storytelling that explores many varying perspectives.

In 2019, Susanne traveled to Greece to study with the International Theatre and Dance Project and graduated from the London Academy Music and Dramatic Arts Classical Acting Semester Program. In 2020, Susanne graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Theater with a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship.

She was recently nominated as Best Actor/Actress at the Southeast Regional Film Festival for her work in “The House Guest” which won Best Horror Short in the 2020 Kosice International Film Festival.

During the pandemic, she began teaching with the Cultural Arts Center of Charleston as well as working as an assistant director with Pure Theatre.  She also started a devising theatre and arts administration internship with foolsFURY in San Francisco in August of 2020.

Susanne is currently represented in the Southeast by Coastal Talent and is always looking to collaborate. Learn more about Susanne by checking out her website: susannemcdonald.com
