Paris Olympic Buzz: Hear These Olympians Tell Their Story

Paris is buzzing with excitement! The Olympic Flame is burning bright on the Eiffel Tower in the City of Light this summer, as anticipation builds for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Olympians will tell their story as they gather from all around the globe to display their extraordinary talents.  The Summer Games will officially kick off with the Opening Ceremonies on July 26th. As we set the stage for the Opening Ceremony, six decorated Olympians shared their experiences on The Spin Chicks podcast with Michelle Young and Erika Hirschfield.

Lashinda will receive her gold medal from the London 2012 Summer Olympics in the first-ever reallocation ceremony at the summer games in Paris. Two-time US Olympian (Athens 2004, London 2012).

Dawn is an SEC Legend who placed 7th at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.  Won a gold medal at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg.

Two-time US Olympic gold medalist in the 4×400m relay at Beijing (2008) and Rio de Janeiro (2016). Since retirement in 2022, she has embarked on a new chapter focused on utilizing her drive, determination, and influence to address critical issues surrounding mental health. Allen is the 110 hurdles gold medalist from the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics.  WATCH THE RACE. Also a five-time World Champion in the 110m hurdles and three-time indoor World Champion (60m hurdles).

As Pakistan’s flag bearer in Paris – Arshad will be competing in his second Olympic Games.  Won a silver medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Finished fifth at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games.
